Slow is the new loud: Proud Snail! celebrates presence – groovy, deep, and full of colour.

Jan & Jannike // we are ALVA

We are Jan and Jannike, lifelong musicians with a hippie soul. Together, we form the heart of we are ALVA. Jannike plays piano and sings, Jan plays guitar and sings. But beyond that, songwriting has been our shared passion since childhood.

Drawing from jazz, soul, indie, rock, bossa and folk, our music moves freely between genres, moods and textures. Our sound is emotional, playful and always a little unexpected.

Our debut album Proud Snail! is characterized by a driving rhythm section, rich two-part harmonies, catchy piano lines, and intricate guitar layers. It weaves a colourful, immersive musical storybook into which you become more and more absorbed as you are turning the pages.
